Chris O’Leary is an artist, photographer and researcher whose work in photography expands from still images to video, animation, custom software, and other experimental processes. Chris wanted a new website that showcased his cutting edge digital work while aesthetically referencing vintage camera manuals from the 50’s and 60’s. To achieve this we used an existing theme that could display his work in a modern and minimal way, then updated it with a combination of League Spartan and Crimson Text for the vintage feel he was after. We rounded out the design with a warm cream that amplified the vivid colors and hard edges of Chris’ work while also calling back to the vintage camera manuals.
