The Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present is an international, nonprofit association dedicated to discovering and articulating the aesthetic, cultural, ethical, and political identities of the contemporary arts. ASAP needed a new website that was more inline with their existing brand identity and would be easier for their rotating volunteer board to manage and update. To achieve this we designed a custom WordPress theme from the ground up using their existing logo as the focal point. When we got to developing the site we used a combination of custom fields and stripped down the WordPress block editor to make updating the site as easy as possible. ASAP also needed a site for their online journal that shared a tight visual relationship to this site, but with very different functionality.
