Smack Mellon’s mission is to nurture and support emerging, under-recognized mid-career and women artists in the creation and exhibition of new work, by providing exhibition opportunities, studio workspace, and access to equipment and technical assistance for the realization of ambitious projects. Smack Mellon needed to migrate their content from Concrete 5 while preserving the structure and functionality of their existing site. We rebuilt it in WordPress using a custom theme, maintaining the spirit of the original layout, but modernizing it and giving their team a far more manageable platform to work from.

In 2026, Smack Mellon updated their logo and color palette. While the layout and functionality of the site remains my work, the updated logo, fonts, and colors differ from my original design that aligned with their previous identity. Because of this I removed the documentation of this site.
