Domestic Light is an artwork by Ian Winters that explores the disparity between how natural light is perceived and mediated, and the nature of our networked relations. The website for this artwork needed to host an interactive map that displays sensor date from multiple participants across the globe. It also needed act as a path for finding new sensor host, onboarding them, hosting content about their location, and do all this in multiple languages. My role was designing and developing a custom theme that could support all this and work alongside byNiko to make sure the map application they built could easily integrate.
